I have a number of laptops that i'm looking to donate to a local childrens nursery.
So far, Slitaz 4 has proven to be the lightest and most useable Linux I have used.
Although gcompris and it's music and sound packages install fine there is no sound available, also the gcompris admin module fails with a can't find board error. The main program loads with the sound icons unticked, ticking them makes no difference. Upon reloading gcompris they are always unticked / crossed out again.
I was wondering if anyone else has had issues installing it from the packages manager within Slitaz?
General sound on the system is working fine and things like childsplay are working great.

here you see the depencies in SliTaz
http://pkgs.slitaz.org/search.sh?depends=gcompris&version=s
and when you compare it with debian
http://packages.debian.org/wheezy/gcompris
I think it will help install the missing gst-plugins

Thanks for the quick response.
I tried the above but still no sound. However..
I re-installed to the hard drive again and this time it worked. Initially I thought it because I chose gb-en as the language and not gb-en, but after a third install it still worked fine. I also changed the order i installed gcompris and childsplay in but again it worked flawlessly.
I guess it was just one of those things.
Everything is working perfectly.
