3.0-loram release worked for years & now HAL fails to init

hi!  you guys have the best Live CD distro!  I downloaded your 3.0-loram release and it worked wonders on an old Pentium server.

i tried booting today and HAL fails to init.   Does this mean my hardware has finally seen its end after err...14 years?

Hello,

Try SliTaz 1.0 or 2.0

http://mirror.slitaz.org/iso/

Also your Pentium server should have enough RAM for SliTaz 4.0 stable, see if it fails under either one of those.

hi!  sorry for the belated reply.   to be clear, 3.0-loram worked before (ie. HAL initialized just fine) - are we trying 2.0 for troubleshooting purposes to see what is going on w HAL?

If you have been using a cdrom live for some time the disc may have developed a fault.

Suggest you make a new live cd & see if that works.
