Installing through the xTerminal

I have not had SliTaz for very long.

I have an old computer that ran windows XP, the specs are at the end of this post.

I do work on both old computers that have linux/GNU, I can install on the computer running Lubuntu, but not on the SliTaz one.

Tried to install LibreOffice, but it said "Could not find file tuxpkg".

Help please. I need the command to download a package from the web and install it,

thanks.

Re: Installing through the xTerminal

From the terminal, as root, type

[c]tazpkg -gi get-LibreOffice

get-LibreOffice[/c]

Re: Installing through the xTerminal

Hello

Clearly your search was for "tuxpkg" which means most likely your search command was incorrect. To install LibreOffice package, Ceel is correct, however if you want to search for a particular package through our repo this is the way to do it,

'tazpkg search LibreOffice' from terminal

This is all assuming you are wired to the internet smile
