Hello. I've discovered a very light and powerfull Graphical application, named "Azpainter". It's a clone of old Photoshop versions (10 year old ;-) ). I've compiled it flawously under Slitaz 5.0, and it's a perfect bridge between MtPaint and Gimp.
I'm using the 2.04 version.

Yes - Ive wondered why it wasn't included too. It is a very light weight and yet capable graphics application that had a good review in the latest Linux Format magazine.
Im still learning Slitaz ..so not yet at a stage where I can compile apps for Slitaz (still learning how to make a working CD)…but when I do that will be the first one Id try.
If in the meantime if it is added to the graphic applications Id be very pleased.

Its very, very easy to compile :
1/ get the Slitaz tool chain (with the package manager)
2/ get the Slitaz 'dev' package
3/ of course Azpainter2 source ;-)
4/ Untar Azâinter2 source
5/ enter its directory
6/ open a terminal
7/ type ./configure
8/ add the missing dependencies with Slitaz package manager
8/ ./configure again
9/ type 'make"
10/ type sudo make install
11/ Enjoy !Posted 8 years ago # -
Ta Kevlar - I must give that a go.
must check out Azpainter 1 too…in some accounts they make reference to the gif making in azpainter1. Not sure if that is an option in azpainter 2 or not..

Very cool news !
For Gif, may be MtPaint should be a better choice, when I've developped some apps for Gtk system, I used Mtpaint to draw or fine tune my icons ...
Or, as usual, Imagemagick in order to get a "final" GIF.Posted 8 years ago #
