Hi ,
after an upgrade of tazpkg , i don' t see anymore my theme and icons .
Help is welcome .
Which version of SliTaz are you running?
Also did you try setting your icons again @ Start ---> Preferences ---> Appearances GTK+ under the icon tab? You can also try forcing the install of the slitaz-icon package.
If an icon theme is selected & installed but no icon displaying, please check that 'desktop-file-utils' & 'shared-mime-info' are installed; then enter as root:
update-desktop-database
update-mime-database /usr/share/mime
Hi ,
i use last slitaz cooking .
After an upgrade of tazpkg ( tazpkg get-install tazpkg ) .
I have that problem .
" Also did you try setting your icons again @ Start ---> Preferences ---> Appearances GTK+ "
See the picture , invisible too !
What s the command for doing that in shell , please ?
In root , no problems !
"update-desktop-database
update-mime-database /usr/share/mime "
I do that and logout : not working .
The terminal command for it is lxappearance and to reinstall the slitaz-icons just go tazpkg get-install slitaz-icons --forced - Also going on the screenshot, the "Start Button" is called "Applications".
If that doesn't work you could try (re)installing slitaz-tango-icon, gnome-icon-theme and hicolor-icon-theme and trying to select them from lxappearance.
PS: Remember to use tazpkg recharge before updating packages, so you have a working list of packages for the new tazpkg.
Hi ,
i doing all of that but :
I see no icons .
In root lxappearance is O.K .
The bug is only in user but why ???
Thank .
Does running chmod -R 777 /usr/share/icons as root do anything?
Hi ,
thank for your responses but i can' t test that .
Because i reinstall slitaz .
I don't upgrade tazpkg to .
"VoilĂ , voilĂ " .
you also could try:
chown -R yourlogin.yourlogin /home/yourlogin
or new login.
hi
I had same issue. I have solved it by following way. You may try too.
- Login as root user.
- delete youruser, delete youruser's profile directory.
- rereate youruser.
- reboot.
- login with youruser.
thats it.
PS: take backup of you profile directory. I did it once and recovered from the same problem by rcovering profile directory.
Thanks
Rajesh Roy
