Hello everyone,

A little about me- I am Rahul. I made my first post yesterday.
I have known about Slitaz since slitaz 3, but never used it other than rescueing files from my computer when once windows wouldn't boot & for disk partitioning with gparted from within Slitaz
I am relatively new to linux as a daily user & I tried some distros based on Debian, settled with Linux Mint.
I am looking forward to using Slitaz daily if I can manage to make atleast google chrome & Anki work
I mainly watch online lectures & make & review flashcards on my computer.
If any of you go to school & must memorize a lot of stuff, you might want to check this out-

Anki requires python 3.5+ and package manager has 3.3.6 so I would like to request newer version.
I tried tazpkg convert for arch linux package, both anki & python. python 3.5+ from arch didn't seem to work.

You might see me around if Slitaz works out for me

The slitaz-next64 is unstable, but it works.

1. anki official build
Download Anki for older Linux (2.1.15-alternate)
The second option works on distributions without systemd,

tux@slitaz:~$ wget https://apps.ankiweb.net/downloads/current/anki-2.1.15-linux-amd64-alternate.tar.bz2

download libx264-265.tar.xz and extract to /usr/lib for mplayer
libx264-265.tar.xz 933K

2. install anki
$ sudo mkdir /opt

$ sudo tar xjvf anki-2.1.15-linux-amd64-alternate.tar.bz2 -C /opt

$ sudo mv /opt/anki-2.1.15-linux-amd64-alternate /opt/anki

$ sudo ln -s /opt/anki/bin/anki /usr/bin/.

$ sudo ln -s /opt/anki/anki.desktop /usr/share/applications/.

3. install mplayer, mesa-dri and libx264.so.184
$ sudo tazpkg -gi mesa-dri mplayer

$ sudo tar xJvf /path-to/libx264-265.tar.xz -C /usr/lib

4. logout and relogin
Applications → Education → anki

or

$ anki &
