Hi guys, I installed slitaz 3.0 in my HD a few months ago and join in this community today. It's pretty nice, but I miss of a symbolic calculus package called Maxima. I have tried to compile it by sources, however i don't have experience in do this, so it's better ask for help. Does somebody use this package? (or can help) Thanks in advance, MarcelPosted 13 years ago #

I'm not familiarized with this program but first of all, to compile anything you need slitaz toolchain:
# tazpkg get-install slitaz-toolchain
Now go to the directory of your extracted Maxima tarball and according to its documentation you should:
# sh bootstrap # ./configure # make # make check # make install
Hope i helped

It install menu->utlity->Maxima(may need http://mirror.slitaz.org/packages/undigest/rlwrap-0.37.tazpkg for rmaxima)

I've been getting a 404 for the above link. Here's a Dropbox link to a Maxima package I put together. http://db.tt/hF3ezsQ6 ...and I just now noticed that Maxima is available in the official repos. Oh, well.Posted 13 years ago #
