After I used TazPanel to install upgrades/updates, I accidentally closed Tazpanel. Trying to open it from lxpanel's menu wouldn't work, and I couldn't get Midori to open, either. Fortunately, Firefox opened from the menu, and I googled until I understood that I needed to install gst-plugins-base. I don't know if that was installed before and somehow got uninstalled, or what. (I'm using a Slitaz 4.0 LiveCD that I made a few weeks ago.)
After I installed gst-plugins-base, I could open both. I noticed that the terminal gave this output when I opened TazPanel:
[ ** Message: console message: undefined @0: TypeError: 'null' is not an object ]
[ ]
[ bind: No such file or directory ]
When I opened Midori, the terminal said this:
[ ** (midori4:10740): WARNING **: No root certificate file is available. SSL certificates cannot be verified.]
I don't understand what's going on.
I found an old bug report that said Midori had root certificate issues with libgcrypt-1.5.0. I have 1.4.6 installed.
