Thanks, i'll try it, but if it doesn't work, guess i'll have to wait for 4.0 stable.

Install without format - frugal, ISO, or web-boot - only add a few files on Windows hdd with FAT32 or NTFS format, right?

Yeah, but what files should i put?

That depends, and may be premature.
Your father's HP Pentium-III 256Mb-RAM computer has what version of Windows on it now?
How much RAM is available for use (not shared for video)?
With how much total hard drive capacity, and how much room left? Are you still using YUMI on a USB flash drive? How big is it; how much room's left?
What version(s) of SliTaz have you tried with it (on the HP P-III)?Posted 12 years ago # -
download this http://mirror.slitaz.org/iso/cooking/flavors/slitaz-4.0-RC2-loram.iso
use lili usb boot creator.to clear cache:

@ wifi problem
so, did the post help?
PS, (dont want to jump to conclusion here)
do you live in the western countries by anychance?
if, so couldn't you buy another usb wifi, through ebay or other online store?
cost about 10USD (try older chipset, wifi BG,not BGN)
(unless are tight on cash, its cool, gotta solve the problem sooner or later right)
or wait for 4.0 stable. hehehe.....Posted 12 years ago # -
I've tried the RC2 loram, with lili, but it stops after asking me for language and keymap configuration, also i burnt it and same thing happens. I live in El Salvador, so buying from ebay is not an option. Right now, i want to do what i did for Slax, compile the source drivers, but as i see, SliTaz comes with no gcc, so (my last question i think) what are the gcc dependencies? Because i can't do the tazpkg get-install gcc command, would you give me those links? Reading some draft Release Notes of the 4.0 Stable, it says that it will need at least 312 MB of RAM to boot, so waiting for it is no more an option.

@TheBen96
Select your language in menu first
or add kmap= et lang= parametre to the kernel cmdline
boot> slitaz kmap=us lang=usPosted 12 years ago # -
I'll try that out. But do you know what are the gcc dependencies for SliTaz gcc package? I need it to compile my driver if RC2 loram with those parameters doesn't work!

Install slitaz-toolchain. It should install the basic tools you need to compile something.

I tried the boot parameter for the RC2 loram, and it didn't work. @ Trixar_za, i'll try that out, thanks.
