Hi guys I went back on the forum! but this time to introduce my creature inspired by the appearance of Ubuntu 10.10! (I'm Italian and I use Google Translate I hope that I can understand the same)
I wanted to see how far you could change the appearance of SliTaz, I think is a very good distro, but why have an old pc with a new OS and graphics with an antiquated and too simple? So I decided to work on the latest cooking available to perform this transformation. The changes are:
- Audio, reproduced audio Login Ubuntu;
- Icons, Humanity + mono (for specifically SliTaz redesigned some icons from me);
- Theme, Gtk + Ambiance;
- Theme, OpenBox Ambiace (I rewrote the theme because I did not like the ones on the Internet and were not so similar to Ubuntu);
- Theme, Login Manager in perfect style Ubuntu 10.10 (designed specifically for SliTaz by me)
- Wallpaper, Added default wallpaper of Ubuntu 10.10;
- Theme Cursor, Cursor theme added Ubuntun 10.10;
- Desktop Effects, xcompmgr Enabled (enabled only for aesthetic reason, if you disable it saves about 10/11Mb ram);
- Fonts, fonts Added Ubuntu Family 10.10;
- Set the size of the text and icons on the desktop / windows;
- Being Italian I translated the name in Italian of some icons of programs;
- Modified / added some files;
- Other minor changes that do not currently come to mind ...
I made this using only open source software like the Gimp and Audacity. I have some advice to give on some configurations files and I'd like to take part in the styling SliTaz 4.0
Live Demo Here is the version to use with Virtualbox (no need to install it) to test the featuress:

I set the resolution to 1024x768x24 to have acceptable usability
