Try launching it from the terminal, this gives helpfull output so that we'll know what the problem is.

You might also download the seamonkey.tar.bz from mozilla and unzip it.
For a systemwide installation unzip it to /usr/lib/seamonkey, otherwise just unzip it in your homedir, making /home/[user]/seamonkey the path to the package. You can start seamonkey with a doubleclick on "seamonkey" in the seamonkey directory then.I'd suggest unpacking to /usr/lib/seamonkey, copying an icon to /usr/share/pixmaps/seamonkey.png, copying some internet-application-description in /usr/share/applications/[foo].desktop to /usr/share/applications/seamonkey.desktop and changing the data in this new file (name, exec and icon). You will then find the program in your start menu.

Happy to help.
If you need support for flash animation (Youtube for example), then you might download the .tar.gz file of Adobe Flash Player from Adobes web site, unpack the file and copy resulting
libflashplayer.so
into a subdirectory of seamonkey called plugins (/usr/lib/seamonkey/plugins/libflashplayer.so).
Seamonkey should detect flash-plugin automatically.

or just use http://trixarian.net/downloads/flash-plugin.tazpkg that places the actual file in a place seamonkey can find it. I made that package so you don't have to do all the hard work. So people please stop telling people the damn hard way of doing it!

@lobotazmania
SeaMonkey runs on a clean system.
Boot slitaz 4.0 core livecd and install SeaMonkey with tazpkg.
SeaMonkey starts from Application/Internet/SeaMonkey Web Browser and runs without any problems.Posted 12 years ago # -
@Trixar_za:
I'd agree, if the get-flash-plugin (as well as firefox, seamonkey ...) tazpkg's in the repository would point at the most recent packages (a test this second downloaded firefox 10.0.2, while 15.0.1 is current).
Sorry, that I didn't know about all the packages available at trixarian.net; but to offer the easy way, shouldn't your package be a part of the repository, then?!?
