A stupid question, I know, but... how do I uninstall applications installed with get-*.tazpkg packages ?
e.g. flash, LibreOffice, OpenOffice, etc.

# tazpkg remove flash
# tazpkg remove LibreOffice
# tazpkg remove OpenOffice
tazpkg remove LibreOffice
or tazpkg remove flash-plugin
?
It generates a package as it installs so you can remove it by removing that package.
Nice, thank you. :)
Just as a note, it's better to first:
tazpkg -l | grep -i <package>
and then:
tazpkg remove <package>
For OpenOffice the name of the generated package seems to be OpenOffice3, so a search in the package list first is recommended to avoid errors.
That's why we have tazpkg search
and it's already grepping the list...
Cool!
This is smth I need to remember. And it also appears in tazpanel, in the My Packages section, silly me.
Ok, really. I wish people would stop unregistering themselves. This is turning into a horrible trend.
Sorry to come back on this but I wanted to keep the same title.
I cannot eliminate packages with the "tazpkg remove <package>" that is indicated also in the specific tazpkg's manual. Applying this on any package does not seem to have any effect.
I made a clean new install and I do not dare repeating the experience of install/test/remove a package as I usually do.
Can anybody help on this matter?
Great linux distro, really light-weight (finally, I did make several installations) on an old, slow Acer A110 with ssd. Only Puppy is a contender but you cannot really compare to Slitaz.
