This has been troubling me since last year, really hope someone can help:
1. I download and install to my hard drive the latest SliTaz cooking from yesterday (20110329), with the default tux and root users.
2. I log into new system as "tux" and install "virtualbox-ose" with the package manager.
3. I open the VirtualBox GUI and create a new, testing virtual machine named "slitazRD".
4. The virtual machine FAILS to start.
5. I log out and log in again as "root".
6. The virtual machine starts fine and I install SliTaz cooking just as a test.
7. I turn off the virtual machine.
8. I use the VirtualBox GUI to change the virtual machine's network adapter to "Bridged Adapter".
9. Still as "root", I tried and FAILED to start the virtual machine with the following error:
"Failed to open a session for the virtual machine slitazRD.
Failed to open/create the internal network 'HostInterfaceNetworking-eth0' (VERR_SUPDRV_COMPONENT_NOT_FOUND).
Failed to attach the network LUN (VERR_SUPDRV_COMPONENT_NOT_FOUND).
One of the kernel modules was not successfully loaded. Make sure that no kernel modules from an older version of VirtualBox exist. Then try to recompile and reload the kernel modules by executing '/etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup' as root (VERR_SUPDRV_COMPONENT_NOT_FOUND).
Result Code:
NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)
Component:
Console
Interface:
IConsole {515e8e8d-f932-4d8e-9f32-79a52aead882}"
How do I solve this problem?!?! How do I make the brideged adapter work, and why doesn't the virtual machine even start when I run it as tux?
Thanks for your help.
