VLC - remove dependencies

   Hello,

   The graphical interface for VLC is no more supported on SliTaz.
   ==> I don't need VLC anymore and want to remove it.

   I know how to remove the package vlc but I don't know if it's a good/bad idea to remove dependecies:

   gcc83-lib-base
   libQtCore
   libQtGui
   libvlc

   How can I verify that some other packages need these dependencies?

   Hi R8,

   tazpkg rdepends gcc83-lib-base
   returns the list of the packages using gcc83-lib-base.
   Use the same command for the other packages.

   tazpkg -r <package-name>, from a terminal, will also prompt you if you try to remove a package that is a dependency of an other.

   Why Firefox uses VLC?

   cedric@R8:~$ tazpkg rdepends libvlc
   vlc (764K)
   firefox-official-fr (210.8M)
