Hello all,
found today with EssentialPIM portable the perfect solution to come away from Outlook. For such a solution I was looking for months... With Win XP it works fine and with Slitaz it starts without any trouble under Wine. There is only one problem - mails I receive in HTML format I can't load down or if they are in the database already I can't open them. I assume it's a problem of wine not working with HTML stuff. Does somebody know a solution?
Any hint is appreciated. - Regards Ernst

Hi, did you tried installing Internet Explorer under wine? That helped me to view html pages on that program.

That's an idea. Wine needs gecko browser for html rendering, but SliTaz doesn't include it, so installing Internet Explorer into wine is probably the easiest way.

I don`t use Slitaz but these are the steps:
1- install winetricks
2- run winetricks ie6 or ie7
3- wine iexplorer - this will launch internet exploreralex

Hello - alex thanks! - As I had to test one of my compis with Suse 12.1 I installed it yesterday, installed wine and followed your steps - EssentialPIM portable is now working without problems. So this is the first step... Now,
- does somebody know where the trick is? (I don't need ie6 and it takes place on my "disk" (compact flash)
- how to install winetricks under SliTaz 4.0? I have Compis being to old for Suse /Windows and SliTaz is absolutly wonderful and I love it in the meantime...

Google internet explorer 6 download and install it? Winetricks shouldn't be that important.
