Actually, I see that my online status stays green and online even after I logout. It stay green whether I'm using tazweb or midori. Using the links (links2) browser the label is not green, but the status still indicates that I am online even though I am signed out. Must be something on the forum website?

After three hours the online indicator had returned to grey offline and then green online when I signed on but then stayed green online again after I had signed off. Curious?

Actually, the time interval required for the online status indicator to return to grey offline is thirty minutes or less. But why is it not instantaneous?

Okay, the time required for the online status indicator to return to grey offline is somewhere between five and eleven minutes. But why is it not instantaneous? Also, with tazweb 1.3 I experienced another instance of tazweb browser lockup. This time it was while trying to sign on to twitter. I noticed that the user field seemed somewhat slow, and while scrolling back through my username tazweb locked as before. But this time, tazweb, I think, popped up a window with a message that the browser was not responding and an offer to terminate the browser, so I gratefully terminated the browser, and then could relaunch the browser. Was this window offering a graceful exit to a nonresponsive browser a recent addition to tazweb 1.3? I guess it is, and it is very nice. Thanks.

Yes, the reset time for the online status indicator to return to grey offline is about eleven minutes. But why is it not instantaneous?

I made an attempt to install tazweb into my RIPLinuX setup, and it came close to working, but with the error messages mentioned above. The latest cooking is able to work well with, e. g., Intel pineview chipsets, but not sandybridge. Under Intel sandybridge, using unetbootin and a flash drive, the system boots to a blank screen with two lines at the top. Under the AMD 350, the lan chip on the computer board, which is supposed to use the kernel atl1c driver, does not work. There is a code problem with the atl1c driver that has been corrected in the latest kernels from kernel.org.
